Funeral service for Lurline Longlois Rachal will be held 1 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. James Foster officiating, Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery at Flora, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 5 PM until 8 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM and visitation on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Rachal, 83, of Natchitoches, La., died Monday, December 14, 2009, at Pilgrim Manor Guest Care in Bossier City, La. She was a native of Flora, La. She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, The Catholic Daughter of The Americas, and Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W Post #1962 She was preceded in death by husband, Sidney Dennis Rachal; daughter, Bonnie Walston; grandson, Jacob Micha Walston; parents, Vea Longlois and Ida Booty Longlois; two sisters, Cleo Custis and Garland Molstead; one brother, Burton Longlois. She is survived by two daughters, Sydney Hamby of Natchitoches, La. and Diane Allen and husband Bill of Benton, La.; Six Grandchildren, Anthony Hamby and wife Karen, Amy Crain and husband Tim, Tracy Nations and husband Blake, Brandon Allen and wife Ashley, Jo Ann Smith, and Jamie Walston; Ten Great Grandchildren, Alex Crain, Hunter Crain, Anna Crain, Connor Walston, Brooke Allen, Jake Allen, Sarah Nations, Deanna Smith, Wade Smith, and Ayricka Parnell. one sister, Gertrude Sparks of Vinton, La.; one brother, Payton Longlois of Natchitoches, La. Pallbearers will be Wade Smith, Anthony Hamby, Brandon Allen, Mike Sparks, Kirby LaCaze, and Stanley Longlois. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr, Eric Smith; nurses and staff at Cornerstone Hospital; and Pilgrim Manor Guest Care; and Robyn Watkins, Mrs. Rachal's hospice nurse.
