Funeral service for Mr. Billy Preston Cook will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Bellwood Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Billy, 42, of Provencal passed away Friday, December 25, 2009. He was born July 23, 1967 to Billy R. Cook and Charlotte Barton Cook in Natchitoches, LA. He proudly served in the United States Navy, worked for the State of Louisiana as a welder and was a Mason. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, Suzanne Cook; sons, Samuel Robert Marks, Tyler Ray Cook, Brian Alexander Cook and Bradley Thomas Cook; parents, Billy R. Cook and Charlotte Barton Cook; sister, Melissa Guin and her husband Billy; brothers, Gerald Cook and his wife Debra and Jason Cook; nieces and nephews, Aaron Fredieu, Susan Cook, Brennan Cook, Jacob Cook and Ivorie Cook; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felix and Elsie Cook and Preston and Betty Barton. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Perry “Bubba” Cook, Sammy Greene, Ed Welling, Clyde Butler, Ricky Caspari, and Brian Kay. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Marks, Jacob Cook, Aaron Fredieu, Randall Cook and Bill Welling.
