Funeral service for Robert Fraser Gay, Jr. will be held 8:30 AM Sunday, January 3, 2010 in Couley United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom May officiating. Burial will be in Couley Methodist Cemetery near Winnfield, La. Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 4 PM until 8 PM in the funeral home and on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 8 AM until service time in the church. Mr. Gay, 65, of Natchitoches, La., died Friday, January 1, 2010, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La. He was a native of Shreveport, La. He was retired from Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and Union Pacific Railroad. He was owner of Bayou Pierre Mule Farm. He was a member of Couley United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Fraser Gay, Sr. and Lena Belle Russell Gay; sister, Linda Pierce. He is survived by his wife Deborah Rikard Gay of Natchitoches, La.; two sons, Robert L. 'Mule' Gay and Scott Dugas both of Natchitoches, La.; one grandson, Morgan Dugas of Winnfield, La. Pallbearers will be Larry Creamer, Charles Arthur, Buddy Kees, Don Montet, Butch Wiggins, and David Poston.
