Funeral service for June Matherne Bayhi will be held at 3 PM Friday, January 15, 2010 in Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Jason Gootee officiating. Graveside service will be 11 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 in Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, La. 70056. Rev. Warren Cooper officiating. Mrs. Bayhi, 73, of Natchitoches, La., died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. She was a native and former resident of New Orleans, La. She was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bayhi; parents, Anatole Matherne and Nancy Guglielmo Matherne. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Gianforte and husband James of Natchitoches, La.; one son, Ricky Purcell and wife Gina of Mansfield, Tx.; four grandchildren, Emily Gianforte, Chase Purcell, Elliot Gianforte, and Alec Purcell; one sister, Jackie Gunn of Waveland, Ms. Pallbearers will be James Gianforte, Ricky Purcell, Chase Purcell, Alec Purcell, Elliot Gianforte, and Burley Johnson.
