Robert Christopher Ferguson, Sr., age 52, of Robeline, LA, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Saturday, February 06, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 07, 2010 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Weaver Cemetery in Flora, LA. Robert was a hard worker, dedicated husband and father, and loyal friend. He would always help anyone in need, no matter the situation. He was a truck driver for the past 30 years. Robert was a true Louisiana country boy. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend his time outdoors. His legacy will live on through his family and friends, who will dearly miss all of the quality times shared with him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Musfelt Ferguson. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dianne Ferguson; his son, Robert "Chris" Ferguson, Jr. and wife Willeta of Robeline, LA; his father, Charles Ferguson of Robeline, LA; two sisters, Doris Cox and husband David of Ardmore, OK and Shirley Broadway and husband Rick of Paoli, OK; three brothers, Stanley Ferguson and wife Christy of Natchitoches, LA, Curtis Ferguson and wife Dawn of Bellwood, LA, and Mike Ferguson and wife Cindy of Stonewall, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
