On Saturday, February 6, 2010, Mark Anthony Salard, age 40, of Pearl River, La passed away in his residence. Mark was a cabinet builder by trade, as was his father, but his real passion was music. He was a remarkable singer/songwriter and musician. Mark was an amazingly gifted left-handed lead guitar player and fiddle player. He played in numerous bands throughout Louisiana, parts of Texas and southern Mississippi. Mark loved to laugh and make other people laugh. He loved his family dearly and had a soft spot for animals. Mark rode his motorcycle whenever he could and he appreciated the little things in life that made the ride worthwhile.
