Funeral service for Lawrence Dalme, Jr. will be held 10 AM Monday, March 15, 2010 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery with full military graveside rites. Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Dalme, 79, of Crosby, Texas, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in his residence in Crosby, Tx. He was a native of Cloutierville, La. He was a retired staff sergeant with U. S. Air Force and U. S. Army serving for 20 years during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. Some of the medals he earned were National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with five bronze service stars, and Army Occupation Medal (Japan). He also was a retired farmer. He was a member of Crosby First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gabriel Lynn Johnson; parents, Lawrence Dalme, Sr. and Lillie Mae Futrell Dalme He is survived by his wife Linda Phillips Dalme of Crosby, Tx.; one daughter, Laura Jeffcoat and husband Gary of Spurger, Tx.; one son, Gary Dalme and wife Deborah of River Ridge, La.; six grandchildren, Anthony Adkins, Curtis Johnson, Evan Johnson, Amanda Dalme, Gary Dalme, Jr.,and Scott Mitchell Dalme; one sister, Henrietta Dalme of Natchitoches, La.; two brothers, H. T. 'Ted' Dalme of Crosby, Tx. and Joe Dalme of Grover City, Ca. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
