William K. “Bill” Wells passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at his home in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Bill, or “Pappy” as many called him, was born June 17, 1931, in St. James, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, Verna E. and William H. Wells, and his sister, Apantha J. Elrod.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bobbye Tilton Wells, his daughter, Hylan Wells, his son Ross Wells and his wife Dawn, all of Natchitoches. He also is survived by grandchildren Hannah Jenks and her husband, Hunter, of The Colony, Texas; Louden Wells and his wife, Sarah; Justin Solomon, Ellie Wells, Garrett Wells, and Jackson Wells, all of Natchitoches, and two great-grandchildren, Louden and Aulden Jenks, also of The Colony, Texas. In addition, he is survived by three sisters, Doris Flock, Nora Dunderville, and Helen Elston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
