Funeral service for Johnny H. Guilliams will be held 10 AM Friday, August 4, 2006 in Blanchard St, Denis Chapel with Rev. Olan McLaren, Rev. Ronnie Osborne, and Rev. Lee Dickson officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery at Fairview-Alpha, La. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 6 PM until 9 PM and on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Guilliams, 77, of Campti, La., died Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at his residence in Campti, La. He was a native of Campti, La. He was retired owner/operator of G and L Grocery in Campti, La., cattleman, and timber farmer. He was a member and deacon of Campti Baptist Church, a member of Pheonix Masonic Lodge F&AM #38 and Gideon International. He was a veteran of the U S Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. Guilliams and Myra Hart Guilliams; four sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sammie Land Guilliams of Campti, La.; three Daughters, Libby Swafford and husband Mark of Natchitoches, La., Rhonda Ross and husband Roger of Campti, La., and Martha Courreges of Natchitoches, La.; grandchildren, LeAnne Cade and husband Jimmy, Billy Inzer and wife Charity, Mark Swafford, Jr., Jessica Vercher, and Rachel Ross; great-grandchildren, Daniel Garcia and Coleman Cade; one sister, Katherine Dodson of Mineola, Texas; one brother, J.D. Guilliams of Lafayette, La. Pallbearers will be Mark Swafford, Roger Ross, Billy Inzer, Mark Swafford, Jr., Jimmy Cade, Mike Land, Paul McTyre and Ronald Dale Smith.
