Roy Osymn LaCour, age 70, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Dubuis Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2010. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm during the rosary. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the St. Anthony Catholic in Natchitoches, LA. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. Mr. Roy was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He always worker hard to provide for his family, and made sure they never went without. He was a child at heart, always talking and entertaining his grandchildren, and finding the good in all situations. He always considered his family before himself, he never met a stranger, and was a friend to all. He fought a lengthy battle near the end of his life, but always kept his family first in his thoughts. He was a great man, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was the preceded in death by his parents, Felix LaCour, Sr. and Ostina LaCour; and four brothers, Otave LaCour, Felix LaCour, Jr., Merril LaCour, and Eugene LaCour. He is survived by his wife Jeanette LaCour; one daughter, Juanita Jones and husband Calvin of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Daniel LaCour and wife Lisa of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Lenitrick Lee, Kai Lester, Katrina Rachal, Valerie Thompson, Danielle LaCour, and Alyssa LaCour; three great grandchildren, Alyvia Rachal, Gracie Lee, Alaya Rachal; and one brother, Atwood LaCour and wife Isabell of Natchitoches, LA.
