Ruvian Gallien

Ruvian Gallien, age 78, of Vidor, TX, and formerly of Natchitoches, LA passed Friday, April 23, 2010, at Oakwood Manor in Vidor, TX. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family received friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, April 25, 2010. A rosary was held at 7:00 pm during the visitation. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. James Foster and Deacon Joe Peltier officiating. Interment was at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules Gallien and Anna Longlois Gallien. He is survived by his wife Patsy Gallien; three children, Ron Gallien and wife Pam of Cloudcroft, NM, Deanna Hickman and husband Darrell of Natchitoches, LA, and Randall Gallien and wife Christy of Vidor, TX; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Trevor George, Daniel Harris, Hunter Masson, Jeffery Ford, and grandsons Richard Gallien, Taylor Hickman, Matthew Gallien, and Joshua Hickman. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Jones and Donald Shackelford.
