Funeral service for Mrs. Gertrude Rachal will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gorum Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Rachal, 87 years of age, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 in Natchitoches, LA. She was born June 15, 1922 to the late Albert “Abie” Troquille and late Mary Elizabeth (Rachal) Troquille. Other family members who have preceded her in death include husbands, Royal Pierre Rodriquez, Pinkey Edwards and Lonnie Rachal; son, Royal Gerald Rodriquez; sisters, Azelie Coutee, Lucille Atwell, and Laura Vercher; and a brother, Roy Troquille. She was a long time resident of Gorum, LA and a member of Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Al Rodriguez and his wife Virginia of Bogalusa, LA; a beloved niece, April Dawn Troquille; and brothers, Albert “Jay” Troquille and James “Ellis” Troquille.
