Graveside service for Wayne Attaway will be held 11 AM Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Fern Park Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. with Rev. David Elkins and Rev. Tim Ruck officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 9 AM until 10:30 AM in Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Attaway, 75, of Natchitoches, La., died Friday, June 4, 2010, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. He was a native and lifelong resident of Natchitoches, La. He was a retired assistant fire chief for the City of Natchitoches Fire Department. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Tingle Attaway; three brothers, Carson Attaway, Noble Mahaffey and Tom Mahaffey; one sister, Christine Tucker; father, Robert Nash Attaway; mother, Leeza Rachal Jones. Mr. Attaway is survivied by Wife, Frances Singletary Attaway of Natchitoches, La.; two daughters, Connie Attaway and Cathy Key both of Natchitoches, La.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Glenn Wayne Byles and wife Joanie, Ashton Byles Prothro and husband Alex, and Michelle Lodrige; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Vodicka of Plano, Tx.; and other familly loved ones. Pallbearers will be members of the City of Natchitoches Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Glenn Wayne Byles, Brady Carson Attaway, Brandon Attaway McKnight, and Dustin William McKnight.
