Eddie Marie Metoyer

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Eddie Marie Metoyer will be held Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle, LA with Reverend Jacob Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 8 am Monday, June 21st in the Church Hall. Mrs. Metoyer, passed away June 17, 2010 in Alexandria, LA. She was born September 11, 1929 to the late Edward Conant and Leacy Robeaux Conant. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patrice Metoyer; sisters, Gertrude Chellette, Laura Conant, Margie Wilson, and Florence T. Conant; and a brother, Joseph Conant. She was a member of the Christian Mothers through St Augustine Catholic Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Metoyer of Cane River, LA; daughters, Sharon Metoyer-Jones, Sandra Lynn McGuire, Renee T. Smith; two sons, Leonard Wayne Metoyer and Lionel Metoyer; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.
