Funeral service for Elsie Leach Cook will be held 10 AM Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in Bellwood Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Cemetery at Bellwood, La. under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be in Bellwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Cook, 84, of Bellwood, La., died Sunday, November 5, 2006, in her residence in Bellwood, La. She was a homemaker, former nurses aid and a member of Bellwood Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Felix Theodore Cook; son, Jerry Cook; grandchildren, Tracy Williamson and Ronita Cook; one great great grandchild; brother, Ray Leach; sisters, Tommie Bryant and Viola Linscombe; parents, Thomas Leach and Zelma Moss Leach. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Thompson and husband William of Shreveport, La., Judy Smith and husband Robbie of Houston, Tx., Mildred Williams and husband Charles of Shreveport, La., and Dorothy Kemp and husband John of Ethel, La.; four sons, Terry Cook and wife Faye of Brandon, Ms., Perry Cook and wife Lynn of Natchitoches, La., Billy Cook and wife Charlotte of Harmony, La., and Ted Cook and wife Brenda of Bellwood, La.; two sisters, Auty Platt of Lake Charles, La. and Letha Griffen of Lake Charles, La. Pallbearers will her grandsons. Mrs. Cook had been in the Natchitoches Regional Long Term Care Unit since January. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Natchitoches.
