Terry M. Stroud, Jr. went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 6, 2006. The funeral service will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, November 9, 2006 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Rush officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, La. under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home and on Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 9 AM until service time in the church.
Mr. Stroud, 80, of Natchitoches, La. passed away in Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Natchitoches, La. He was the retired owner and operator of Natchitoches Motor Company. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Natchitoches Lions Club. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U. S. Army.
Terry thoroughly enjoyed fishing, his family and church. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Terry M. Stroud, Sr. and Beatrice Jones Stroud.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Camille Lane Stroud of Natchitoches, La.; one daughter, Terrylyn Tapp and husband John of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Stephen Lane Stroud and wife Lori of Shreveport, La.; granddaughters, Kathryn Camille Stroud, Elizabeth Lane Stroud, Alison Camille Tapp, Samantha Lane Stroud, and Victoria Castille Stroud.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Steve Horton, Mike McConathy, Dr. Jerry Ferguson, Fred Crenshaw, David Kees, Noble Flenniken,George Alexander, and Levi Haddock.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Baptist Fellowship Class that he taught each Sunday.
