Funeral service for Timothy Joesph Anslem will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 2, 2010 in Family Worship Center at Black Lake Community, La. Burial will be in L. C. Weaver Memorial Cemetery at Campti, La. Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2010 from 5 PM until 10 PM and on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 8 AM until 11 AM in the funeral home and 1 PM until service time in the church.
Mr. Anslem, 23, of Campti, La., won his battle with Leukemia and went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in East Jefferson General Hospital at Metairie, La.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Campti, La. Tim was an electrican’s helper and most recently had worked in the meat market at Brookshire’s Food Store in Natchitoches, La. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his many friends. Tim was an avid duck hunter, he loved boating, and eight-ball pool. He was a member of United Baptist Church and BCA Pool League formerly WPPL Pool League
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond Anslem and Marie Anslem; maternal great-grandparents, Jack and Artie Waggoner; self appointed brother, Brandon Colby Simmons; uncle, Guy Sampey.
He is survived by his Son, Colton Riley Anslem of Montgomery, La.; Mother of his son, Janna Lohman and her son, Kyler Lohman of Montgomery, La.; parents, Troy Raymond Anslem, Sr. and Theresa Ge'Nae Cunningham Anslem; brother, Troy 'Ray' Anslem and wife Holly of Campti, La.; niece, Kimberly Addison Anslem; maternal grandmother, Ge'Nae Savic and husband Brato of Campti, La.; three aunts, Gynn Markley of Natchitoches, La., Sharmine Aucoin and husband Tommy of Patterson, La., and Wendi Maxwell and husband Billy of Ruston, La.; uncle, Lawrence Sampey of Black Lake Commmunity, La.; numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Shane Anslem, Seth Anslem, Josh Gilcrease,Bobby Teer, Derek Harris, Daniel Trichel, Eric Mashburn, Johnny Ray Giddings, Justin Stephens, and Luke Mahloch.
