A celebration of life for Rusty will be 11:00 am Tuesday October 26, 2010 at Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Reverend Bill Hudson and good friend Pastor Ocie Charles Jr. officiating. The family will welcome friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010 also at Blanchard. Rusty's body will rest at Calvary Baptist Church in the Oak Grove Community where he will stay close to his children. Mr. Russell Dean Alexander Jr. (Rusty), 48 years of age, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 after returning home from work. Rusty was a courageous 2 year cancer survivor, who went to meet the Lord after passing from natural causes in his home in Natchitoches. Rusty is remembered by his loved ones as a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was known as a hard worker, with a passion for horses and animals and a member of West Side Baptist Church. Rusty left to carry on his legacy a strong and loving wife of ten years, Patricia Pass Alexander who stood by her husband's side thru each and every battle. Three loving children who dearly looked up to their Father, Kristen, Brittany and Colten Alexander. Step children Kristy Sampey and Jonathan Pass who also were strong thru it all. Along with 3 grandchildren, Ryan Brister, Bayla Rae Gryner and Maggie Sampey who will deeply miss their Papaw. Father and Mother left to carry on their sons memory Russell and Wilma Alexander and 2 loving sisters and their families, Eddie and Vanessa Holman, children Dan Robertson and Craig, Bethany and Elliott Rush, and Veniessa and Henry Alexander, children Tony, Alicia and Olivia Mitchell.
