Funeral service for Hulon P. Salard will be held 3 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2006 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Burial will be in Emmanuel Cemetery at Chopin, La. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 22, 2006 from 8 AM until 2 PM in the Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. Mr. Salard, 58, of Picayune, Ms., died Monday, November 20, 2006, at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune, Ms. He was a native of Cloutierville, La. He was a cabinet maker. He was a veteran of Viet Nam Era serving in the U.S. Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pierson Salard and Grace Antee Salard; brothers, Joseph Clyde Salard and Carl James Salard. He is survived by one daughter, Regina Salard Brossett and husband Curtis of Cloutierville, La.; one son, Mark Salard and wife Diane of Pearl River, La.; grandchildren, Mason Salard, Dillon Salard, Meagan Brossett, Haidyn Brossett, Sophia Brossett; great-grandson, Isaiah Smith; two sisters, Christelle Salard of Chopin, La. and Nelda Gallien and husband Kenny of Cloutierville, La.; one brother, Harold Salard and wife Bonnie of Chopin, La. Pallbearers will be Odell Brossett, Malcolm Brossett, Britt Brossett, David Gallien, Douglas Feazell, Dillon Smith, Frank Rachal, and Brian Benefield. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Wayne Brosset, Leo Brossett, and Louis Palmer.
