Funeral service for Betty Bryant Crenwelge will be held 10 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Don Davis and Rev. Ellis Newman officiating. Burial will be in Central Cemetery at Robeline, La. Visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2010 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home.
Mrs. Crenwelge, 72, of Natchitoches, La., died Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La.
Mrs. Crenwelge was a native of Robeline, La. She was a retired nurse having worked for Dr. Charles E. Cook, Sr. and Dr. Angelo Morreale. She was a member of The River Community Church and The Red Hat Ladies. She played the piano for several churches over the past years. She enjoyed flea markets, floral arrangements, and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Mason Bryant and her grandmother, Allie Claude Hall.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Crenwelge of Natchitoches, La.; one daughter, Melanie Crenwelge Porter and husband Tommy of Robeline, La.; two granddaughters, Lauren Brooke Mitcham and Dexter Rabalais of Natchitoches, La. and Paige Porter of Winnfield, La.; great grandchild, Micheal Rabalais of Natchitoches, La.; mother, Claudie Lee Bryant of Provencal, La.; sister, Carolyn Bishop and husband Terry of Montgomery, La.; nephew, Keith Jordan and wife Denise of Montgomery, La.; great nephews, Brady Atkins and Mason Jordan both of Montgomery, La.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jordan, Bobby Saffel, Rodney Verzwyvelt, Paul Shows, Dr. Angelo Morreale, and Keith Jordan.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors,nurses, and staff of the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.
