Stephen Bell Doty

Funeral service for Stephen B. Doty will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2006 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Drew Rollins officiating. Burial will be in Verda Cemetery at Verda, La. with full military graveside rites by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office and Masonic Graveside Rites by Pheonix Masonic Lodge of Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Wedenesday, November 29, 2006 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Doty, 64, of Montgomery, La., died Sunday, November 26, 2006, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tioga, La. He was a native of New Orleans, La. He was a correctional officer with Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Department and formerly a deputy sheriff with Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchitoches, La. He was a past master with the Union Masonic Lodge #172 and Jeruselem Shrine Club both in New Orleans, La. He was a veteran of U. S. Navy and U. S. Merchant Marines. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Doty and Arlene Fritsen Doty. He is survived by two daughters,Tanya Doty James and husband Ryan of Montgomery, La. and Stephanie Pulford and husband Steve of Sacramento, Ca.;one step-daughter, Stacey Matherne and husband Scott of New Orleans, La.; one step-son, Kris Huber and wife Elisa of New Orleans, La.; four grandchildren, Ashlyn James, Allie James, Honey Pulford, and Violet Pulford; one step-grandchild, Jillian. Huber; three brothers, Frank Martin and Terry Martin both of Montana and Rolland Martin of Melbourne, Fla.
