Edward Allen Vercher

Edward Allen Vercher, 81, of Cloutierville, La., died Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights Of Columbus, and the Woodmen Of The World. He was a wonderful father, husband, and friend to all. He retired from the post office after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Vercher, and his mother, Rose (Thomasee) Verche; three sisters, Louise Ford, Mimm Hernandez, and Mary El Basco; and two brothers, Ross Vercher and Willie Vercher. He is also survived by his wife Barbara Vercher; his son, John Vercher of Cloutierville, La.; four grandchildren, Barbara, Willie, Sidney, and Mary Vercher; and three sister-in-laws, Tony V. Tate, Gloria Spivey, and Billie Delrie. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2007. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening. Funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 11, 2007 , with Rev. Antony Aelavanthara and Deacon Joe Peltier officiating. Interment will be at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery in Cloutierville, La.
