Funeral service for Reuben Curtis Knippers, Sr. will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 18, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Roger Matkin officiating. Burial will be in Provencal Cemetery at Provencal, La. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Knippers, 63, of Provencal, La., died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, in his residence at Provencal, La. He was a native and lifefong resident of Provencal, La. He was a former electrician for Davis Sawmill in Provencal, La. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Knippers; son, Reuben C. Knippers, Jr.; parents, Clifford Lester Knippers and Effie Ella Slaughter Knippers. He is survived by two step-sons, Thomas Meshell and Larry Meshell both of Anacoco, La.; one sister, Mary Roberts of Provencal, La. three nieces, Brenda Roberts, Bethel Roberts, and Barbara Wester; one nephew, Barney Roberts.
