Delphine Salard Rachal

Funeral service for Delphine Salard Rachal will be held Sunday, January 21, 2007 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, La. with Rev. Harold Imamashah officiating. Burial will be in Rachal Cemetery at Marco, La. under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 5 PM until 9 PM with a rosary at 7 PM and visitation also on Sunday, January 21, 2007 from 8 AM until 12 Noon in the funeral home. Mrs. Rachal., 81, of Derry, La., died Thursday, January 18, 2007, in Cloutierville, La. She was a native of Marco, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church at Monette Ferry; La. She was precede in death by her husband, Ernest Rachal; son-in-law, Robert Martin, Sr.; great-granson, Matthew Brosset; five sisters and five brothers; parents, Charlie Salard and Ella Coutee Salard. She is survived by her four daughters, Melinda Martin of Derry, La., Ernestine Martin and husband J. R. of Willanna, La., Brenda Jones and husband Jimmy of Dry Prong, La., and Rhonda Carter and husband Bobby of Cloutierville, La.; four sons, Mitchell Rachal and wife Pat of Gardner, La., David Rachal and wife Patricia of Derry, La., Elbert Rachal and wife Deborah of Columbia, La., and Raymond Rachal of Ball, La.; grandchildren, Arlene Perkins, Dedrie Brosset, Bobby Martin, Paul Martin, Joe Rachal, Juanita Beebe, Brenda Vorhees, Randy Martin, Cherry Faircloth, Herman "Mikie" Rachal, Desiree Rachal, Shannon Rachal, Raymond E. Rachal, Rebecca Sanders, Delinda Rachal, Katie Pauley, Blake Jones, Suzanne Jones, Ernest Carter and Matthew Dale Carter; forty great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother,Willie Salard of Alexandria, La.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ernest Carter, Dale Carter, Blake Jones, Mikie Rachal, Paul Martin, Aubrey LaCaze. Honorary palllbearers will be Michael James Rachal, Roland Lavespere, J.R. Martin, Bobby Carter, Jimmy Jones, Bobby Dalme, Raymond E. Rachal, Joe Rachal, Bobby Martin, and Randy Martin.
