Frank Basco, 81, of Lena, La., died Sunday, January 28, 2007, at the St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. Mr. Basco was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was also a member of American Legion and The Veteran Of Foreign Wars. He was retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service, and served in World War II, The Korean War, and Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexandria Basco and the Mary Basco.
He is survived by his wife Arlene Basco; three sons, Aubrie Paul Basco and wife Sheryl of Allen, Texas, Robert Frank Basco of Boyce, La., and John Basco of Alexandria, La.;
four grandchildren, Aubrie Basco Jr. of Irving TX, Stephanie Basco of North Richland Hills, TX, Jessie Basco of Fort Worth, TX, and Cameron Basco of Allen, TX.; and three sisters, Mary Alice McKinney, Annie Mae Carnahan, and Angelie Vercher.
Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2007 and a 6:00 PM rosary, Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Funeral service will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Emmanuel, LA at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 , with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Interment will follow at the Emmanuel Cemetery.
