Eurby William Sherrod

d. February 22, 2007

Eurby W. Sherrod, 91, died Thursday, February 22 at Heritage Manor of Natchitoches where he had received wonderful care as a resident for almost a year. Mr. Sherrod was a lifetime resident of Texas until moving to Natchitoches in 1998 to be with his daughter and family. Mr. Sherrod (Daddy, Dad, PaPa, Great PaPa) with his smile, love, and fun loving ways will be greatly missed by his family. We are confident since Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior, even though he is absent from the body he is now present with the Lord. (2 Cor. 5:8) Mr. Sherrod leaves behind his loving daughter, Charlotte Merschbrock (Annie, as he called her), her husband Roger, granddaughter Sherry Recer and her daughter Cammie of Natchitoches. Also granddaughter Amy White, Amy’s husband Paul, and their children Ashley, Caleb, and Hannah of Cedar Park, Texas. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Joy LeBlanc, of Nacogdoches, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana from 5-9 PM on Friday, February 23rd. Services will be in the Blanchard Chapel on Saturday the 24th at 2:00 in the afternoon. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 26th at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas where his wife and our mother and mama was buried in 1991. Because of out of town burial, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Global Advance, P.O. Box 742077, Dallas, Texas 75374-2077. PaPa would want his passing to be an opportunity for seeds to be sown to see leaders touched and nations changed for the sake of the Gospel .
