Lee Roy Nugent

Lee Roy Nugent, Jr., 55, of Natchitoches, La., died Saturday, February 24, 2007, in Columbia, La. Lee Roy was a member of the Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, cherished father, and beloved grandfather. His body gave in before his spirit, and he will always be with us in our hearts and memories. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Nugent, his father, Lee Roy Nugent, and his step-father, Robert Powell. He is also survived by his wife Debra Lynn Nugent; his daughter, Samantha Elaine Nugent of Natchitoches, LA; four sons, Lee Roy Nugent, III of Natchitoches, LA, James Nugent of Ruston, LA, Adrian Nugent of Bossier City, LA, and Perry Nugent of Marionville, MO; his mother, Marie Powell of Pitkin, LA; four sisters, Jan Perkins of Pitkin, LA, Pat Seay of Columbia, LA, Frances Brownwell of Columbia, LA, and Rhonda Horton of Hornbeck, LA; two brothers, Robert Nugent of Elysian Fields, TX and Rickey Nugent of Midland, MI, eleven grandchildren, and a host of neices and nephews. Pall Bearers will be Patrick Bass, Shane Perkins, Eric Strutton, C.J. Nugent, Richard Willis, and Bruce Allen. Derick Bass will serve as a Honorary Pall Bearer. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. The visitation will be held at the Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 5:00 and will last all night until service time on Tuesday. Funeral service will be at Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2007, with Rev. Brian Jennings officiating. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Robeline, La.
