Phyllis Ballard

Phyllis "Dolly" Ballard, age 60, of Provencal, LA, died Monday, February 26, 2007, at the Natchitoches Medical Center hospital in Natchitoches, LA. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a special lady who loved each and every person that she came in contact with. She was a hard worker and will be dearly missed by those who’s lives she affected. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred McKinley Ballard, Sr. and her parents William Cox and Pauline Anderson Cox. She is survived by her four sons, Freddie Lee Ballard of Lebanon, MO, Fred Michael Ballard of Austin, TX, David Glenn Tillett of Paris, TX, and Fred McKinley Ballard, Jr. and wife Kayla of Provencal, LA; seven daughters, Daisy J. Owens of Humble, TX, Betty Diane Melton of New Caney, TX, Deborah Sue Shroeder of Waller, TX, Bonnie Aline Cargle of Conroe, TX, Rebecca Lynn Luman of Provencal, LA, Tena Darlene Ballard of Provencal, LA, and Sonya Kay Voight of Provencal, LA; 55 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three special friends, Paulette Howell of Natchitoches, LA, Lena Mae South of Mobile, AL, and Ralph Davis of Provencal, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pall Bearers will be James Foster, Jr., Jerry Foster, Charles Dalme, Bruce O’Bannon, John Ballard, Jr., and Robbie Dupree. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, La. A visitation will be held at the Provencal First Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Funeral service will be at the Provencal First Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2007 , with Rev. George Holland officiating. Interment will be at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Hagewood, LA.
