Gerald Rachal

OBITUARY Gerald Rachal, was born in Derry, LA., on April 12, 1943, to Doretta Rachal and Louis Balthazar. He was the oldest of twelve children: nine boys and three girls. Gerald moved from Derry, LA to Chicago at an early age land his first job at Universal Recording Co., In 1965 he married Jeanne (Hester) and to that union they were blessed with one girl and two boys. Later in life Gerald had five other sons. He returned home for his retirement where he filled his days with plenty of fishing on Cane River with plenty of close friends. Gerald was blessed with the ability to touch so many lives. He had a passion for helping others. He was a fun loving person and always had a good time. Gerald had nine lives and those that knew him would agree. Gerald lived a blessed life. He will be missed by all family and friends Gerald is survived by: His Mother: Doretta Rachal His eight children: Brigette, Darrin (Sharon), Victor (Lisa), Mark, Gerald (Tattoo), Cornelius, Johnnie, Gerald. His twenty-two grandchildren: Antonio, Ashale, Brianna, Brandon, Cornelius Jr., DeVontrell, Daijia, Diquon, Illeana, Jayden, Jasmine, Jeanette, Johnnie Jr., Kiwane, Larcea, Marcus, Marquis, Matthew, Tycheca, Vickyla, Victor Jr., Kiwane,. His eight Brothers and three sisters: Robert, Patrick (Dorothy), Howard, Barnett, Michael, Steven, Paul Augustus, Arnietta, Genevieve, Darlene. And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
