Funeral Service for Elva Marie Brewster Ross will be held 2 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Timothy Leach, Rev. Glen Howard, and Rev. John Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Springridge Cemetery at Pleasant Hill, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Ross, 70, of Marthaville, La., died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at Life Care Hospital in Shreveport, La. She was a native and lifelong Marthaville, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ross; grandson, Michael Singletary; parents, John Jefferson Brewster and Maggie Irene Dyess Brewster; two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Penny Singletary and husband Michael of Marthaville, La.; one son, Neal Ross and Wife Jimmie of Marthaville, La.; three grandchildren, Connie Ross Mobley and husband Thomas, Ronnie Ross, and Autumn Singletary; three sisters, Aline O'Quinn of Boyce, La., Loree Lauw of Marthaville, La., and Verline Houston of Chicago, Ill. Pallbearers will be John Vercher, Rev. Ray Dyess, Arden Settle, Jr., Jim Leslie, Frank Wyatt, and Larry Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Sanders.
