Hursel Dalton Haley, 83, of Provencal, LA, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007, at the hospital in Natchitoches, LA. Mr. Haley was the owner of Haley’s Mobil service station in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of the Provencal United Pentecostal Church for all of his life. Mr. Hursel was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He was an avid bass player and also enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar. He taught most of his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews how to play as well.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Mills, and his parents William Haley and Alice Leggett Haley.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice Haley; one daughter, Sharon Lynn Costley of Provencal, LA; one son, Hursel Danny Haley and wife Kay of Keithville, LA; one sister, Melba Free of Natchitoches, LA; one brother, Basil Haley of Lake Charles, LA; four grandchildren, Krystal Dawne Orsborn of Provencal, LA, Sandi Sweet of Shreveport, LA, Stacy Watson of Shreveport, LA, and Chad Haley Mills of Haughton, LA; and ten great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, LA. Visitation will be held at the Provencal United Pentecostal Church at 5:00 PM and will last until 9:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2007. The funeral service will be at the Provencal United Pentecostal Church at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15, 2007, with Rev. Thomas Patterson officiating. Interment will be at the Provencal Cemetery in Provencal, LA.
