A graveside service with military honors for Mr. Arthur Ray Lambert, Jr. will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Lambert Town Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm on Saturday the 24th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Bubba Salley, Bill Parker, Dr. Jed Lambert, Shaun Waltman, Adam Lofton, and Gary Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be James Carter and Troy Lynn Nelson. Arthur Lambert, 90 years of age and a long-time resident of Robeline, passed away on April 22, 2021 in Natchitoches. He was born on June 3, 1930 to Arthur Lambert, Sr. and Bama Jenkins Lambert in Robeline, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue Lambert; a son, Rickie Lambert; a daughter, Pami Sue Lofton; a sister, Reky Fountain; and a ½ sister, Shelby Honeycutt. He is survived by a daughter, Patti Salley and husband Richard; grandchildren, Monica Waltman and husband Shaun Waltman, Jonathan “Bubba” Salley and wife Katie Salley, Bill Parker, Dr. Jed Lambert and wife Dr. Elizabeth Lambert, Kelley Aton, Margaret Sanders and husband Scottie Sanders, and Adam Lofton and wife Sarah Lofton; great grandchildren, Myka Hubert, Gracie and Garron Waltman, Cody, Addison, and Jay Salley, Bowen Parker, Levi, Cullen, and Milleigh Aton; Olivia and Eli Sanders, and Abigail and Micah Lofton; ½ sisters, Frankie Berry and Annie Lambert; and a daughter in law, Holly Lambert. Arthur left his childhood home at the age of 12. Although he left home at an early age, over the course of his life he earned his high school diploma and had over 60 semester hours at NSU. He met the love of his life Margaret Sue Mitchell and they were married in 1949. They spent 58 years together until her passing in 2007. Arthur worked many different jobs over the course of his life including heavy equipment operation, truck driving, and teaching trade skills but ultimately retired as an owner of Carter Motor Company in 1980. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1953 with the rank of sergeant. In his later years he and Sue enjoyed fishing together and spending time with his family. He was a Master Mason and enjoyed fellowship with his Masonic brothers. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
