Audrey Ann Ravard passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020. She was born April 15, 1947, to the late Clarence Joseph Ravard and Marie Jean Ruby Ravard in Echo, Louisiana. In July of 1961, Audrey moved with her family to California, but she eventually returned to live in Natchitoches, Louisiana in 1984. She resided at Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for many years, and she was thrilled and honored when she was named as their Mardi Gras Queen a few years ago. Audrey enjoyed attending mass, spending time with family, crocheting, knitting, telling stories and making people laugh. She also enjoyed dancing and music. One of her favorite songs that she liked to sing was “This Little Light of Mine.” Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Llorens; and brothers-in-law, Ernest Pichon and Lloyd Gautier. Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters; Wilma Pichon of Natchez, LA, Dorothy Gautier of Peoria, AZ, and Camille (Joe) Laurent of San Marcos, TX; one brother, Phillip (Carol) Ravard of Spring Hill, FL; brother-in-law, Leo Jim Llorens of Natchez, LA; one godchild, Lorita (Archie) Metoyer of Natchitoches, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Friday, January 17, 2020, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevellle, LA. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 8 am until 9:30 am with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 am.
