Funeral Services for Barbara Ann O'Con Jordan, 85, of Robeline will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Bro. Tim Leach officiating. A burial will follow in Memory Lawn cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday February 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Barabara was born on March 3, 1938, in the mountains of West Virginia to her loving mother, Eunice Rogers. She passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Courtyard of Natchitoches. She is preceded in death by her husband Cleve O’Con, and two brothers, Gary and Richard Adams.
Barbara was devoted member of Coldwater Baptist Church. In her lifetime she worked as Manager at Nichols Department Store in Natchitoches, LA and later as a Manager at Beall Ladymon also in Natchitoches. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and talking on the phone with the ladies of her Sunday school class. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, working in her flower garden, and eating crawfish. She loved her cat “Stranger” and doted on him as if he were her child. Lastly, Barbara was known for the BEST banana pudding!
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 21 years Don Jordan of Robeline, LA, son Larry O’Con of Natchitoches, LA. Seven stepchildren: Charles O’Con (Amy), Billy Wayne O’Con (Shelia), Delinda Coleman (Dennis), Donna Redwine (Nathan), D.C. Jordan, Clark Jordan (Susan), and Dottie Litton (Kenneth). One grandson Bolin Anthony O’Con, twenty-six step grandchildren, thirty-four step-great grandchildren, three step-great great grandchildren, and two nieces Crystal Guidry (David) and Sonya Hebert (Cory).
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Robert Niette, Shane Berry, Delbert Gongre, Clark Jordan, Randy Hardee, and Sammy Green. Honorary pallbearers: D.C. Jordan, Robin Jordan, and Kenneth Jordan.
