She was born June 4, 1949 and was born in Natchitoches,LA. She was our Mom, our Nanny and our rock! She was strong willed yet always loving and gentle. She made sure that we always knew how she wanted things done and she expected thatwe would do just that! She shared her wisdom, advice and life experiences with us often, which we will always cherish and carry with us. She had such a love for her family. Her eyes were always bright and her smile would light up the room when everyone was together. We all loved her one of a kind cooking skills and there was no better coffee than the coffee made by her….someof the grandkids were even convinced that she stirred it with her finger to make it just that good! While we all know how loved we were, it was no secret that her grandbabies were her pride and joy! She enjoyed spending time at the lake and camping. One of her favorite places to be was on the water tossing a line out in hopes to catch a big one. In her younger years you could find her in the woods running rabbits with family. She enjoyed outings to the zoo with her babies. She loved the Lord and always had her trust in Him. On the day that she received hard news about her cancer prognosis, she faced it head on with such fierceness and with complete trust in her Lord and Savior. She will be dearly missed but we rejoice knowing that she is happy, healthy, whole and that we will see her again soon! She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all” Proverbs 31:26-29
