A service to honor the life of Bingkun Yao will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2010 Texas St, Natchitoches, LA 71457.
Bingkun Yao passed away the morning of January 17, 2025, at the age of 57. He was born in Yanggu Xian, in Shandong Province, China. Throughout his life, Bingkun has shown strength, tenacity, and talent, striving to live a fruitful life against all odds. Though many may only know him as the man who foremost supported and cared for his family, he was also incredibly influential, caring, and compassionate towards those he has encountered in all walks of life.
In the early part of his life, he was an entrepreneur, a teacher, and a professor for over ten years at Zhaoqing University. Bingkun later moved to the United States with his wife Shuxiang and became the loving father of three daughters. In 2020, he picked up Chinese traditional medicine; this eventually became an avid passion of his and something he discovered he had an incredible talent for. At the time of his passing, he had seen and cured hundreds of patients, both domestically and internationally. His dream was to start a hospital where his patients could be shown kindness, compassion, and a level of care unrivaled anywhere else. His selflessness is unrivaled. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, being in nature, reading, travelling, and playing with his beloved children.
Although he is gone, we hope that he will be with us forever.
His surviving family members are his wife, Shuxiang Li, and his three children, Yuhui Yao, Yujun Yao, and Yutai Yao, as well as his three younger brothers and mother. His father passed away a day after him
