Blanche Solomon Marshall

A Mass of Christian Burial for Blanche Solomon Marshall will be at 10 am Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Natchitoches, LA. Interment will follow at Marshall Family Cemetery near Provencal, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, October 21st at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6 pm during the visitation on Thursday. Mrs. Marshall passed away on October 16, 2021 in Natchitoches, LA at the age of 95. She was born on March 6, 1926 to James Ross Solomon, Sr. and Sylvia Genevieve Stafford Solomon in Houston, TX. Blanche briefly worked as a switchboard operator during World War II but for the majority of her life she took pride in raising her family. She was a devout Catholic lady and was firmly rooted in her faith. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, William Marshall, Jr. and his wife Donna and Russell Marshall and his wife Teri; daughters, Sylvia Latiolais, Jo Ann Francis and her husband Jimmie and Terrie Lea McMullen; and a son-in-law, Edward Smith, Jr. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Marshall, Sr. and daughters Becky Johnson and Susan Smith.
