Bobby Dale Stoker, Sr., 86, of Robeline, LA, passed away Friday, January 11th at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Born on January 11, 1933, Bobby lived most of his life in Robeline, LA. After graduating from Robeline High School, he proudly served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. He worked on an offshore drill rig where he made many lifelong friendships and retired in 1992. Truly an outdoorsman, Bobby loved being outside whether it was tending his garden, time spent on his tractor, or just hanging out with his buddy, Trouble. He was a hard worker but always made time to hunt or fish in his pond. He had a love for animals, especially horses, and attended many trail rides with friends and family. He was kind-hearted and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was always positive during his illness and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Dewit and Ima Jean Stoker; sister, Virginia Odum; brothers, Byron Stoker and Don Stoker. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Stoker; sons, Bobby Dale Stoker, Jr., Max Stoker and Gary Phelps and wife Amy; daughters, Marla Rachal and husband Craig and Mitzi Roe and husband Pat; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Stoker as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 3 pm in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. John Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on the 14th at Blanchard-St. Denis. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Tre Phelps, Eric Stoker, Seth Stoker, Garritt Stoker, Will Rachal, and Whitt Stoker. Honorary pallbearers will be Tucker Roe, Marvin Davis, Kent Wall, and Roger Howell The family would like to thank Dr. Britten, Dr. Mayeux, Dr. Botnick, and the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided.
