Bonnie Jeanette Rasberry Settle

Bonnie Settle passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at her home in Marthaville, Louisiana, at the age of 81.  Bonnie was born in Quitman, Louisiana, on July 28, 1938.  She attended Quitman High School and Louisiana Tech University.  She married Dale Settle in 1959, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage on Christmas Day. During their 60 years of marriage, they owned and operated a small business in Marthaville for 33 years.  After retirement, she enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family.  Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Robbie Rasberry, and one brother, Raymond Rasberry.  She is survived by two sons, Brian Settle and his wife, Marti, of Ringgold, Louisiana, Randall Settle and his wife, Cherre’, of Shreveport, Louisiana; one daughter, Rhonda Roge’, and her husband Randal Roge’ of Natchitoches, Louisiana; grandsons Jonathan Settle and Jared Roge’; granddaughter Kayla Roge’; step-grandchildren Carla Garner, Kenny Bamburg and Chelsea Cutlip; as well as three sisters, Betty Hayes, Barbara Kennedy, and Carolyn Kennedy.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana, from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held Friday, January 3, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Marthaville at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Marthaville Cemetery.  Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jonathan Settle, Jared Roge’, Tony Settle, Connor Settle, John Earl Roe, and Kenny Bamburg.
