Caine, in his short 27 years, overcame what appeared to most as insurmountable odds, but with Teen Challenge as the vessel, and Caine surrendering all, Jesus delivered him. After, Caine was never afraid to share the gospel of love, salvation and deliverance that Jesus so freely offered him. Caine was the answer to many prayers when you went to be with Jesus this past Wednesday. Your unselfish willingness to be an organ donor answered unnamed recipient's prayers that seemed bleak once before... others who've been blessed with you in their lives. Your memory lives on...your legacy of redemption is one of God's Goodness!! This, and his boys, were what he loved and cherished the most. Caine was a loving family man and spent every allowed moment with his precious sons, Nathan Caine and Asher Trace. They are carbon copies of him and he loved them with all his heart. They were the light of his world. Those left to cherish Caine’s memory are his sons Nathan Caine and Asher Trace, their mother Dana Malmay Starnes, his mother Melony Boydstun Starnes and brothers Brodie and Vance and wife Katy, nephews Taylor and Camden Starnes, grandmothers Shirley Boydstun and Helen Starnes all of Natchitoches, as well as a special friend Megan Mathews. Also left are a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Caine was preceded in death by his father, Theron Starnes, Jr, paternal grandfather Theron Starnes, Sr, and cousin, Wes Rollo. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Caine’s memory to the W.A.R. Foundation,301 Plantation Point, Natchitoches, LA and Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge, 564 Braxton Road, Dodson, LA 71422. Both organizations are near and dear to the family’s heart.
