Charles Dillard Brazzel JR.

“What God can do!” one of his sayings when he was enjoying God’s beauty!  Wonder what he’s saying now, now that he’s actually there.

Our Dad, Charles Dillard Brazzel, Jr., went to Glory Land on Sunday August 20, 2023.Services will be held Thursday August 24, at 8:00 A.M. at Cypress Baptist Church in Cypress, La. Officiating the services will be Bill Collins and Toby Brazzel.  Burial will be at the Cypress Cemetery.

If you want to hear some of C.D.’s sayings like, “Stand Your Ground or Strike a Trot”, join us for visitation on Wednesday August 23^rd from 5 – 8 P.M. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, La. C.D. Brazzel, Jr., age 91, a life long resident of Louisiana, lived most of his life on Cane River.  He is survived by his children, Tim Brazzel and his wife Sandra, Amanda Gail Scarborough and her husband Robin, Sherri  Lea  Brazzel  and partner Trish Williamson, Toby Brazzel and wife Kelli.  He is survived by one sister, Allie Mae McClendon, 12 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dillard Brazzel, Sr., mother, Dollie Mae Brazzel; wife, Jeannette; sisters, Jeannie McCann, Josephine Bennett and Louise Courtney; brother Dub Brazzel.

C.D. was born September 19, 1931 at home in Natchitoches, La.  A lifelong Dairyman/Rancher, C.D. & Jeannette lacked 1 month being married 66 years.  C.D. loved going to the sale barn with John Scott in Coushatta,  visiting with anyone who would visit with him.  He was a warm and gentle man who showed love and affection to all he met.

Those chosen to be pallbearers will be, Robbie Scarborough, Trey Scarborough, Jeremy Beasley, Nate Morrow,  Trish Williamson and Ricky Brazzel.  Honorary pallbearer will be Noah Scarborough.

Heartfelt gratitude to his sitters and caregivers:  Elaine Williams, Jackie Raggio, Susan Young, Janie Young, Bill & Margaret Huggins, Michelle Halko, Deanna Pierce, Neva Phillip, Dr. G.G. Williams, Charlotte, Tia, Jamie & Ciara.
