Chief Rufus Joseph Davis, Jr passed away on October 25, 2022 in Houston, Tx. Those who have gone before him are his parents Claudia Niette Davis, Rufus Chief Joseph Davis, Sr., and his son Darren Jay Davis. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Davis; his sons John Mark Davis and Gregory Delane Davis and his daughter, Tina Nicole Davis-Roberts; brother Ralph & wife Rose Davis, sisters Elaine Bryant, Evy Davis LaBorde & husband Mike LaBorde, and Jo Ann Martin & husband Jason Martin; grandchildren Jessica Lynn Davis, Aaron James Davis, Taylor Delane Davis, Ivy Gayle Roberts, Michael Paul Roberts, Coalter Jackson Davis; and 2 great grandchildren Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be John Mark Davis, Gregory DeLane Davis, Aaron James Davis, Michael Paul Roberts, Jr., Coalter Jackson Davis, and Ralph Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Davis, Aaron Stewart, Tauo Leyua, Hunter Leyua, Phillip Niette, Jim Johnson, Howard Rosales, and the members of the Caddo Tribe of Oklahoma, Phil Cross, Derrick Edmunds, Damon Edmunds, Michael Edmunds, Michael Meeks, and Michael Meeks, II. Chief Davis was the owner of Chief Solutions, Inc. in Houston, Texas and Chief of the Adai Caddo Indian Tribe. Chief was a successful entrepreneur, respected by cities across the country, his peers and his competitors. He’s won countless awards for his entrepreneurial accomplishments and community efforts and was admired by everyone who knew him. Visitation & Rosary Services for Chief Rufus Joseph Davis, Jr will be held at Blanchard-St. Denis on Sunday October 30th 5pm-8pm. The Rosary will begin at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial for Rufus will be at The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, October 31st at 11am before laying him to rest at St. Anne’s cemetery in Robeline, LA.
