A Mass of Christian Burial for Phil Chris Rachal will be at 11 am Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Holy Family Chapel at Monet Ferry near Lena, LA with Father Christian Ogbonna serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Rachal Cemetery in Marco, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27th. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:30 pm in the funeral home chapel on the 27th. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Bradley LeBlanc, Brian Glenn, Terry Prothro, Triston Glenn, David Rachal, and Derrick Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Chris, 59 years of age and a resident of Marco, LA, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019, in Alexandria, LA. He was born on September 16, 1959, to Felix and Avena McGlothlin Rachal in Pineville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathy Lee. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Glenn Rachal; his children, Shelly LeBlanc and husband Bradley, Brandon Glenn, Christopher Glenn and fiancé Toni Duraso, and Erica Beebe and husband Dakota; grandchildren, Kamryn Glenn, Triston Glenn, Landon Glenn, Trinity Glenn, Sawyer Glenn, Draven Miller, Balen Miller, and Marshall Miller; sisters, Debra Nugent and Tina DeLacerda; brothers, Jerry Rachal and Steve Rachal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Chris was a hard worker and good provider for his family. He spent over 31 years and ultimately retired from LADOTD as a foreman in the Natchitoches office. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing with family and friends. Chris had a heart of gold and would help others in need even if it meant sacrificing his own needs. He will be dearly missed but always remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
