Christopher Paul Brecheen

Christopher “Chris” Paul Brecheen peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the age of 56. Born on June 25, 1967, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in Saint Amant, Louisiana, he was an avid NASCAR fan, but also found joy in hunting, fishing, and cooking.

He is preceded in death by his great-aunt; Evelyn Brown McDonald, maternal grandparents; William and Elizabeth Doyle Brown, and uncle; Glen Brown.

He is survived by his father; Fred “Bud” Brecheen (Martha), mother; Katherine Brown, stepfather; Donald “Moose” Melancon Sr., siblings; Marcus “Scotty” Barrett, Donald Melancon Jr. (Amber), Chelsea Melancon, children; Bradley Brecheen, Christopher “CJ” Brecheen Jr., Katelynn Brecheen, grandchildren Noahh, Kaylee, Hayden, Jude, Allison, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11 am at The Church located at 13423 LA-431, St. Amant, LA 70774.  The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on the 18th at The Church.
