Curtis Lawrence Johnson

Curtis Lawrence Johnson, 33, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, passed away suddenly to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 28, 2022. He was born on November 14, 1989 to Laura Jeffcoat of Natchitoches and Keith Johnson of Goldonna, La. Curtis spent his spare time working with his hands from a young age. He loved fixing anything he could get his hands on, especially older vehicles. Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents: Tom Curtis Johnson, Lawrence Dalme, Jr., Betty Pearl Johnson, and an infant brother, Gabriel Johnson. Curtis was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his parents, mother and stepfather, Laura and Gary Jeffcoat, his father and stepmother, Keith and Cindy Johnson, his grandmother, Linda Dalme (Crosby, Tx). He is also survived by his siblings; Anthony and wife Myranda Adkins (Jasper, Tx), Evan and wife, Savannah Johnson (Shreveport, La), Dawn and husband Jeff Rachal (Provencal, La), Dorothy and husband James Wilson (Campti, La), and Kathlyne Johnson (Natchitoches). He is also loved and remembered by his aunts and uncles; Gary and wife Debbie Dalme (River Ridge, La), Pam and husband, Buddy Graham (Natchitoches, La), and Jennifer Johnson (Shreveport, La). Curtis was also blessed with many, MANY nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his Honorary Godfather, mentor and friend, David Rushing. Curtis was a tall and skinny man in stature but that did not compare to the size of his heart and love he had for so many people. He would give the shirt off of his back and the shoes off of his feet if that meant he made someone else’s day just a little bit brighter. He never met a stranger and could always spark up a conversation with just about anyone. You could only be lucky enough to experience one of his big bear hugs. He always knew when it was just the right time to hug someone and make them feel special by things as simple as remembering their children’s name or asking how something was going from a previous conversation. Curtis will be missed and loved by all. The service of Curtis Johnson will be held December 17, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church located at 312 LA-3191, Natchitoches, LA 71457. Visitation will begin 9 a.m. with the service to follow at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend a repast after the service.
