David “Jap” LeDoux of Provencal, LA, entered into his eternal rest on July 18, 2022. “Jap” was born on April 29, 1961 in Palm Springs, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. LeDoux and brothers, Keith Allen Aaron and John (Mann) Brister. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Stephanie LeDoux; children, Vikki Ezernack and husband Trystan, and Dylan LeDoux and his wife Kylee; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Wanel Brister; the light of his life and his only granddaughter, Tynslee Ann Ezernack; his siblings, Michael LeDoux and wife Linda of Seabrook, TX, Charlotte Grayson and husband John of Natchitoches, LA, and Danny Brister and wife Shirley of Marshall, TX; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. “Jap” was known for his love of fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a man skilled at many trades that he acquired throughout his life. He spent the last year enjoying his time with his pride and joy, Tynslee Ann. He immensely enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time as he could outside. He could strike up a conversation with anyone because he never met a stranger. His favorite times were spent sitting on his porch swing and drinking coffee with his dog Blue by his side, while overlooking his garden and enjoying the bounties of his labor. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, July 25, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery near Hagewood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, July 24th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Benny Welch, Roy Welch, Daniel Warren, Jason Kay, Waylon Rials and Matt Flynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky French, Jeremy Rials, Brandi Smith, Danny LeDoux, and Ronnie “Cat” McCallister.
