David Benjamin Walmsley

Sadly we announce the passing of our husband and father, David Benjamin Walmsley on January 26, 2018. Dave was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts to Raymond Walmsley and Margaret Tootell Walmsley.  He and his wife, Dorrie Goodlatte Walmsley, lived for many years in Montgomery, MA where they raised their two children. David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorie Goodlatte Walmsley; son William Goodlatte Walmsley; daughter, Susan Walmsley Hyams and her husband, Louis Collier Hyams; grandchildren, Gwyneth Emma Walmsley, Rowan Cassandra Walmsley, Juliet Claire Marie Hyams, and Pierce McPhearson Hyams; and Gillian Heather Walmsley, the mother of Gwyneth and Rowan. A memorial service to honor the life of David will be held on January 12, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA.  All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Fox Terrier Club, FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTISTS, Boston, Mass., or any other charity of your choice.
