Deborah Dee Dee Elliott Ellinthorpe

On December 18, 2022, Deborah Elliott Ellinthorpe (Dee Dee) passed away at age 59 from complications due to Cancer. Born in Natchitoches, LA, in 1963, Dee was a loving mother, daughter and wife. In 1989 Dee Dee married Jeff Rockett, with whom she had two sons. In 2006 she married Walter Ellinthorpe and moved to Virginia. Dee Dee enjoyed volunteering in her community. She gave her time to various boards and always told her neighbors they could call her at any time. She never turned away a person in need, even if all she could give was a few moments of her time and a shoulder to cry on. Aside from her family, Dee Dee will probably be best remembered for her love of dogs. She fostered over thirty dogs and would have kept them all if she could have. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her father, William; and step-son, Jon. She is survived by her mother, Sue Knott Elliott; sons, Ryan and Thomas; step-son, Joey; and husband, Walter. Dee Dee will be laid to rest beside her beloved grandparents, R. W. and Willie Mae Knott, in Marthaville, LA. A viewing will be held at Blanchard St Denis Funeral home in Natchitoches, LA on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5pm until 7pm. There will be a graveside service at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1:00pm.
