Delores E. Wetherington

Funeral services for Mrs. Delores Wetherington will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10 AM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Marthaville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening, June 8 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Delores Wetherington was born on March 28, 1944 in Marthaville, LA and passed on to her eternal rest on June 3, 2021, at Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Delores was a dedicated educator that spent over 50 years as a classroom teacher for the Natchitoches Parish School system. She was very active in church and spent many years helping during Vacation Bible School. She is survived by her husband, Dr. George E. Wetherington, as well as many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Dyess-Burnett. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be S. G. Martin, Harold Faust, Chris Johnson, Bobby Dale Armour, Ron Bolton, and Wayne Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Dyess, Kenny Dyess, and Kenny Capello.
