Dennis Wayne LaCaze died Monday, April 12, 2021 at the age of 61. A Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Natchitoches with Rev. Derek Ducote serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with a holy rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume Saturday the 17th from 11:00 am until 1:45 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. A native of Virginia, Dennis was born at Fort Belvoir Army Base. Dennis lived in Mississippi, Hawaii, Ohio and then finally resided in Louisiana. As a youth, he enjoyed baseball and was a talented catcher. He also excelled at running track for his school, St. Mary’s High School. Dennis was a great storyteller and loved telling a good joke. Dennis is survived by his father, John Levy LaCaze, sister Brenda Froisy and husband Francis of St. Amant, sister Michelle Goudeau and husband Jeff of Lake Charles and stepsister, Pam Cox of Natchitoches, stepsister, Brenda Curran and husband, Danny of Florida and stepbrother, Gary Rigsby and wife, Donna. He is also survived by Carolyn Hynes and husband Randy, Tommy Cox and wife Darla, Susan Hall and husband Tony all of Shreveport. Grandchildren include Danielle Hynes, Torrey Raines, Cassie Dalrymple, and Joshua Cox. Dennis also is survived by a son, Lee Baird of Houston. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Davis LaCaze and his mother, Betty Jemison. Those honored to serve as pall bearers will be Randy Hynes, Wayne Spillman, Kavin LaCaze, Ryan McAlexander, and Timothy Heffer.
